Weight Watchers is an international company operating in about thirty countries around the globe. They offer various dieting products and services to assist your weight loss and maintenance. Generally Weight Watchers provides a framework to measure and limit the amount of your food intake.
The Eating Well Diet
Dietary Facts; The Eating Well Diet is a plan consisting of seven steps. These steps are structured around not just what you eat or how much you are eating, they also take into account the psychological aspects of dieting and weight loss. This diet is based around making sure you are ready for a change, and setting long term goals for yourself.
The Sonoma Diet
Dietary Facts; This diet plan is based around 10 items known as the “Power Foods”: Whole grains, tomatoes, broccoli, spinach, bell peppers, grapes, blueberries, strawberries, almonds, and olive oil. These foods were chosen for their nutritional value and flavor. The Sonoma Diet works in stages known as waves. The first wave is the toughest, being the most restrictive with the smallest portion sizes and the least variety of foods allowed. The second wave, more variety of foods are allowed, and this wave lasts until you reach your target weight. The final wave allows a wider range of foods with an occasional dessert while maintaining your weight.
The Step Diet
Dietary Facts; The Step Diets slogan says it all: Count Steps, Not Calories. This diet, while technically not new, is basically to curb your eating a bit, and walk every day while counting your steps. The easiest way of counting steps is using a pedometer, you can pick one of these up for around $10. You will start out walking about a mile every day, with the main goal being 5 miles, or about 10,000 steps each day while eating healthy and conquering bad eating habits.
These are just small summaries with dietary facts for a few of the healthiest diets. Although not all diets work for everyone. Some diets can even be potentially dangerous to people with certain body types, or health issues. So as a general rule of thumb, you should always consult your Doctor before starting a diet, no matter which one tickles your fancy.
